32Red Casino
Ed Ware first moved out to Gibraltar after he transferred into the Ladbrokes telephone betting department. After a few successful years there, Ladbrokes decided to move their phone betting operations back to the UK. However, Ware stayed.
He noticed that while operators such as Ladbrokes were starting to go online, they were focusing on sportsbooks and only creating online casinos as an afterthought. In response to this, Ware took it upon himself to fill this gap in the market and in doing so created 32Red Casino.
Many years on and 32Red are a major player in the online casino industry. The casino product has received numerous industry awards including Casinomeister's 'Casino of the Decade' and have even floated on the Alternative Investment Market.
But at a time where many online casinos appear to struggling, 32Red continues to prosper. Ware says: "We have now put in four consecutive record six month periods."
32Red's successful battle with William Hill provided more good news for the company with Ware claiming that this victory "supported all our efforts".
One of the aspects of 32Red casino which is praised the most is the fantastic customer service that is offered to players. Ware says this level of service is possible thanks to: "a very focused team and a clear chain of command."
But despite all of these positives, Ware mentions that 32Red are not performing quite as well as he'd like.
He adds: "While we are happy with progress over the last two years, we are still at a fraction of our market cap if you rewind to 2005."
The ambition of the man in charge speaks volumes about the company and in this case, 32Red are certainly impressive.
