Anton Ferdinand
Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand stormed out of a Newcastle casino after losing £6,000 from three bets in just five minutes.
Ferdinand, brother of England captain Rio, placed £2,000 on red at one of Aspers Casino’s roulette tables, but unfortunately his luck wasn’t in as the ball landed on black. It didn’t get any better from there for the football star, as the same occurred a further two times leaving him £6,000 worse off in a matter of minutes.
One fan who happened to be playing in the casino at the time said: “He just rolled his eyes when it kept coming back on black.”
He added: “Then after losing six grand, he stormed straight out of the casino.”
Ferdinand is currently on a £40,000 per week contact with Sunderland Football Club and has a reputation for slightly reckless behaviour, after being caught using a mobile phone while driving. The football star was subsequently banned from driving for six months and fined £1,000.
