It was big news back in October 2010 as Betfair held an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange. However, we’re now nine months down the line and the company haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory.

The Malta based company have seen their shares drop by more than half since the IPO when they were bought at £13. News of this has spread and has led to CEO David Yu leaving his position. So far many candidates have been suggested but none confirmed, while Betfair have promised to fill the position as soon as possible.

Fortunately, this restructuring should have little noticeable affect for the majority of the operator’s customers. For players at Betfair casino it could only be a good thing, as other online casino operators are looking to expand their game selection by striking deals with multiple developers. Perhaps some form of revolution could inspire a similar sort of movement at Betfair.
