PartyCasino

Although PartyPoker has suffered a bit of embarrassment recently after backing down from plans to increase its cap on rake at some online poker tables, it hasn't stopped them looking to expand their online poker interests.

PartyPoker, run by bwin.party who also operate PartyCasino and World Poker Tour and Poker Room, have revealed that they are making deals with American partners with a view to being able to operate in certain US states. The talks have recently moved up a gear as California and New Jersey look to regulate online poker in the near future.

The news of these talks come at the same time as bwin.party release their first half results despite being 21% down on expectations. Closure of the company's French casino product as well as the lack of major sporting events were blamed for the lower than expected figures but a move into the US could see figures rocket.

But unfortunately for US PartyCasino fans, they'll have to wait longer in order to be able to play their favourite games as the current plans for regulation are restricted to online poker with casino games further back in the queue.
