How to Count Cards in an Online Casino

Today I'd like to mix things up a little bit and instead of providing you with the latest bonus information (if you're really desperate, check through our previous 14 pages of promotion news) and provide an answer to a question that's been bugging me for a while. Every few days a new e-mail lands in the Casino Online mail bag which poses one of the following questions; either "How do I count cards?" or "How do I count cards in an online casino?" More often than not, players who send me these e-mails are referring to counting cards in blackjack.

Firstly, I'll admit right away that both are incredibly valid questions. In the past card counting was seen as something only Dustin Hoffman could manage in Rain Man, now, thanks to TV shows such as Louis Theroux's Gambling in Las Vegas, many are realising you don't have to be Hoffman to count cards. However, when it comes to online casinos, I believe there's something which needs to be cleared up right away:

You can't count cards in an online casino.

Online casinos tend to shuffle after every hand when it comes to games such as blackjack and as they use multiple decks, there's really no way you can viably count those cards. Sorry, but it's true. This isn't to say that without being able to count cards you're just handing money over to a casino, as that's simply incorrect. There are plenty of methods you can apply to improve your blackjack gameplay in an online casino - it's just that card counting isn't one of them.
