This week saw the second ever Women in Gaming Conference and Awards at the Jumeirah Carlton Hotel in London. Organised by the same people as the International Gaming Awards, the Women in Gaming Awards are, as the title suggests, designed to celebrate the industries female workforce.
A variety of employees from online and land based casino operators around the world were nominated with many in attendance at the awards on June 22. Among the many winners were employees of online casinos featured on CasinoOnline.co.uk with Betfair, Party and William Hill Online employees all receiving awards.
The female workforce at Betfair deserves special congratulations with at least one representative from the Malta based company being nominated in all but two of the evening's awards. However the only award which was actually won was Affiliate Manager of the Year which went to Daniela Attard.
Successes from other online casinos included the HR team from bwin.party who received Team of the Year award while Anna Conley of William Hill Online won Star of the Future.
