Halloween
If you’re heading out to Las Vegas this Halloween, unless you’ve already been invited to the hippest VIP casino parties, chances are you’ll be looking for spooky things to do. Well, fear not, as we’ve compiled a list of the best ways to spend Halloween in Las Vegas. Whether you want to experience ghoulish ghosts, or be scared stiff by one of the nightly Halloween tours, you’re sure to find something to enjoy.
First off, we recommend you definitely try and get a last minute place on the world famous Haunted Vegas Tours. Recommended by various tourist guides and paranormal experts, the Haunted Vegas tour is an experience which simply cannot be matched. You’ll be spooked, entertained and educated about the stranger side of Sin City and as you can easily obtain a ticket discount online, you simply can’t afford to miss out on this once in a lifetime experience. While all of the tour guides offer a genuinely enjoyable Vegas experience, consider yourself especially lucky if your tour is headed by Robert, who, for the past 30 years has been an integral part of the Las Vegas entertainment scene.
If you unfortunately can’t book tickets for the Haunted Vegas Tours, then we recommend you alternatively check out The Luxor’s Titanic Exhibition. When we interviewed Janice Oberding, author of The Haunting of Las Vegas she mentioned that the Luxor is one of the most haunted locations in Nevada. Janice also noted that the exhibition doesn’t just feature artefacts from the Titanic: It seems that a few paranormal spectres have decided to exhibit themselves at the casino too. For more details on why the Luxor is considered to be haunted, make sure to check out our Haunted Las Vegas article.
Finally, the Trinity of Terrors is taking place at The Palms Casino Resort on Saturday and will apparently bring an altogether darker atmosphere to Las Vegas. Slipknot will be headlining the casino on Halloween night and the organisers (Fangoria Entertainment) have also arranged for a whole host of frightening films to be screened. You can obtain a 1 day pass for just $20, or pay $50 for a 3 day pass and, as this is Vegas’ very first horror convention, we recommend you book tickets today, as you really don’t want to miss out on this soon to be legendary event. However, those looking for a cheap Halloween thrill should bear in mind that Corey Taylor, lead singer of Slipknot, has warned that the “event isn’t just a gimmick for Halloween’s sake. This is something we hope to do annually for a long time.”
