It has long been thought that Asia, and more specifically China, is going to be the largest online gambling market going. Having already overtaken North America and Europe in terms of land-based gambling, the expectation is for it not to be too long until Asia also leads the way online.
With this in mind, it's no surprise that Ladbrokes' latest venture is a Chinese one. It has come in the form of a new game that will be targeting those looking to gamble within the Chinese province of Hunan. The product has been set up in partnership with AGTech a Hong Kong based lottery services company.
While the product being offered by Ladbrokes and AGTech won't actually be able to be accessed from home computers, it will be in 1,000 betting shops. Also, customers won't actually be able to bet on live, or even real, events. Instead the Lucky Racing Game will be a random number generated game that allows players to bet on a fictional race that they will then be able to watch.
