Chief executive of Ladbrokes Richard Glynn has welcomed Ladbrokes last year profits, which were chiefly supported by their online products. Ladbrokes’ digital product revenue grew from £8.7 million in 2010 while pre-tax profits went up from £58.2 million to £62.7 million. While many companies may celebrate this news and vow to continue doing what they are doing, Glynn is determined not to rest on his laurels.

Having emphasised the importance of product development, Glynn commented: “We want to be an e-enable international betting and gaming business.”

An area of Ladbrokes’ online products that received particular praise was the mobile gaming which has grown from being 3% of Ladbrokes’ online customer transactions in January 2010 to 15% currently.

Ladbrokes online casino also provided positive figures with its profit rising 6.3% from the previous year to £55.3 million. Ladbrokes are also currently in talks with 888 and Playtech about increasing their online gambling assets. With all of this positive talk coming from the Microgaming powered casino operator, there certainly seems that there’s only one way that this company is heading… up!
