Today we received an interesting e-mail from Cocoa Casino. The e-mail stated that the slots available at this Rival powered casino are particularly hot this month, noting that new game, Psychedelic Sixties, has a payout of 127.22%. If you haven’t read up on the relation between payout percentages and house edge, then essentially the payout report in Cocoa’s mail proposes that Psychedelic Sixties has a house edge of -27.22%. This in turn suggests that players wagering on this slot have a house advantage of 27.22% over the casino.

Call us cynical, but such a figure seems almost outlandish. As any card counter will tell you, if you can gain an advantage of just 0.5% over a casino, then the manager will be keen to clamp down on it and push the odds back in the casino’s favour. It seems a little odd then that Cocoa Casino is openly discussing a high paying slot machine in an e-mail. While such a move could seem crazy, setting a slot to pay back an incredible amount could be a move which separates them from their competitors. After all, who else can boast of such loose online slots? Cocoa Casino’s bold move has inspired us to check out the payout reports for our other featured casinos and below you can find out which are offering the loose slot machines this month:

Unsurprisingly, we couldn’t find any other casinos which match Cocoa Casino’s payout report. However, we did notice that for the past few months Casino Tropez has been offering a fair payout percentage of just under 97% on its slot machines. When compared with other Playtech casinos, such as William Hill, which offers an average payout of 95.78%, we reckon Tropez offers the loosest Playtech slots.

Out of the Microgaming powered online casinos, none could match Cocoa Casino’s alleged payout report on Psychedelic Sixties. However, Spin Palace’s most recent report revealed a house edge of just over 4%. Whilst these figures might not seem impressive, it really does help to bear in mind that the minimum payout on casinos in Pennsylvania can legally be as low as 85%: This means that a casino in Pittsburgh could feature slot machines with a house edge as high as 15%. We’re sure you’ll agree that, given the chance, most players would prefer Spin Palace’s, Casino Tropez’s and Cocoa Casino’s payout reports over minimum payout casinos in Pennsylvania.
