Ladbrokes and Microgaming have announced that they’ve agreed a new deal which will see their long running relationship extend.
This deal has come just months after Ladbrokes management made public their unhappiness with the existing deals that the company had with their suppliers. Also said at the time was that these deals would have to be changed considerably in order to keep their business.
So, we can only assume after the announcement of a new deal that Microgaming have caved in to pressure. Indeed a Ladbrokes representative agreed: “it is essentially a new deal, rather than an extension of our existing agreement.”
It was also confirmed that Microgaming were one of the suppliers which had been mentioned in earlier months. However, the representative confirmed that Ladbrokes were now very pleased with the deal and that it: “gives us [Ladbrokes] the opportunity to offer a wider range of products.”
This suggests that Ladbrokes could soon be able to offer software from other developers and with talks having already been held with Playtech, it may not take long.
