Over the years there has been quite a large number of gambling adverts that have felt the wrath of the Advertising Standards Agency.

Unfortunately for them, it was the turn of Paddy Power this time as a football advert offering refunds on losing bets in the Sun has been banned. The ad showed a picture of Luis Suarez – a controversial figure at the moment – and said: "Money-back if Suarez scores. Liverpool v Man Utd. If Suarez scores we'll refund losing bets."

While most gambling adverts that are banned are done so because they encourage gambling too much or are misleading however this one has been scrapped for different reasons.

This was that gambling ads should not feature people under the age of 25. As it turns out Suarez is 24 and therefore the ad was in breach of this section of code.

This isn't the first time that they've had trouble with the ASA as three other ads from the Irish bookmaker have been banned before.

Other gambling companies and online casino operators that have had run-ins with the ASA include Betfair, 888, bet365 and Ladbrokes as well as many others.
