Online casino software developers Playtech have been involved in a number of deals recently. Most of these have come with online casino operators, such as William Hill and Ladbrokes, but their latest venture involves PT Turnkey Services Limited.
This venture consists of a £240 million acquisition that will see Playtech take control of the holding company for Europartners. Europartners are one of the largest affiliate programmes around and will have completely handed control over to Playtech by the end of this year.
The company was founded by Teddy Sagi and has around 50,000 registered partners. Playtech's reasoning behind the deal was explained by chief executive Mor Weizer who said that it would provide them with "direct contact with players for the first time as well as direct communication between the operators and their customers."
For the online casinos that use Playtech's software, they will also be able to market themselves directly through the software provider. The casinos able to take advantage of this will be Betfair, bet365 and William Hill.
