Atlantic City casino owner Donald Trump has told reporters that online gambling must be legalised soon. Speaking about online gambling legislation Trump confirmed that he believed "it's just a matter of time" before regulation came into effect.
He added: "This has to happen because many other countries are doing it and like usual the US is just missing out."
Not one to miss out himself, Trump has begun to make connections in the online gambling world so that he will be well positioned should regulation come into effect. He has already teamed up with Lasry's Avenue Capital Group in an online gambling venture and will continue to push for online gambling legislation.
While this is good news for online gamblers, like most US gambling legislation stories it unfortunately only refers to online poker at the moment. However, being from a casino background, Trump would surely look into the possibility of a Trump online casino in addition to poker products.
