Book Reviews
Just a few months ago we launched our “Experts” section, which features interviews with key gaming experts, as well as reviews of the very best gambling related books. Currently, we offer nearly fifteen unique book reviews, ranging from Mastering Betfair, a title which explains how to, well, master Betfair, to Casino Gamble Talk, which explains Las Vegas casino slang. We’re pleased to announce that in the next few days, you’ll see three new additions to the book reviews list, in the form of:
- Janice Oberding – The Haunting of Las Vegas
- Richard Moreno – Mysteries and Legends of Nevada
- Dennis N Griffin - Cullotta – The Life of a Chicago Criminal, Las Vegas Mobster, and Government Witness
Below, you’ll find out a little bit more about each title. For the complete review, make sure to visit CasinoOnline.co.uk again! You can bookmark our site by simply clicking “Favourites” and then “Add to Favourites” in Internet Explorer, or by clicking “Bookmarks” and “Bookmark This Page”.
Janice Oberding Book Review
When we first interviewed Janice Oberding, for our Haunted Las Vegas article, we were instantly enthralled by her tales of ghosts in Las Vegas. We’re pleased to say that a review of Janice’s book, The Haunting of Las Vegas, will appear on Casino Online shortly and in our review, you can find out exactly what Janice’s book offers for the wannabe-ghost hunter who’s visiting Las Vegas.
Richard Moreno Book Review
We currently offer a review of Richard Moreno’s earlier title, Nevada Curiosities, which we described as a must for anyone looking for “a guide to Nevada which offers something that little bit different”. Moreno’s latest title, Mysteries and Legends of Nevada is just as interesting as its predecessor and sheds light on some of Nevada’s darker myths, such as the suggestion that Democrat politicians put a deceased Senator in an iced bath tub after he’d died in order to win an election.
Dennis N. Griffin Book Review
Finally, we’re also pleased to announce that we’ll be reviewing Dennis N Griffin’s Cullotta – The Life of a Chicago Criminal, Las Vegas Mobster and Government Witness, which documents the life and times of one of Las Vegas’ most notorious residents, Frank Cullotta. Alongside Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal and Tony “The Ant” Spilotro, Cullotta ran Las Vegas in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Check back for our book review on this explosive title.
