Betfair Help put out Bushfires
Betfair casino will be donating all the revenue from betting transactions on the Victorian races today, to the Victorian premiers fund for the victims and families of the bushfire that has raged across Southern Australia.
The incredibly charitable move was announced earlier; as Betfair suggested that the damage done to Australia by the bushfire was "monumental" when compared with the "trivial" matters of sports betting.
The fires, which have raged across South East Australia, has so far claimed 181 victims and many survivors are unable to return to the villages they once called home. Police believe that the fires were started by arsonists and Prime Minister Paul Rudd has compared their actions to "mass murder".
