Betfair has signed a deal with Barcelona FC, one of the biggest football clubs in Europe. The betting company is set to become Barcelona’s new betting partner, just weeks after Betfair signed a similar deal with Manchester United.
eGamingReview has reported that Betfair’s recent acquisitions within the field of football suggest the company wishes to become a dominant soccer sportsbook. The bookmaker has brokered new deals with TalkSport and has introduced a new football site, aptly titled BetfairFootball.com.
Speaking about the new deal with Barcelona FC, which will see Betfair adorning stadium and online advertisements, Betfair’s European Director, Andy May, has noted: “This sponsorship agreement between ourselves and Barcelona aligns us with the most charismatic and thriving club in Europe.”
