A Haringey bookmakers is currently appealing a recent decision which blocked the betting shop from receiving a 24 hour license.
Agora, which is located in Harringay wished to extend its license to operate “around the clock” from Monday through till Saturday. However, the application was denied by the local council earlier this year.
Agora is currently appealing the ban, but residents have consistently condemned the proposal, suggesting that it will lead to an increase in crime. It’s believed the council will reach a decision regarding Agora’s appeal late November.
