Casino Software Company Starts 2011 Well
Playtech
Online casino software provider Playtech has released promising figures for the first three weeks of January that show an 11% improvement on the same period last year.
Also, the acquisition of Intelligent Gaming Systems has allowed the software provider to increase its range of services to land based casinos such as Aspers in the UK and Regency in Greece. This has proved to be a worthwhile investment but one that has not come cheaply with Playtech paying out £3 million for the casino management systems company.
Chief executive of Playtech, Mor Weizer said: "The convergence of land-based and online segments is becoming a key theme in the industry."
Playtech currently support a number of online casinos including William Hill casino, bet365, Mansion and Circus casino. With figures such as £122.4 million in 2010 compared to £99 million from the previous year showing that Playtech are certainly heading the right direction, many online casinos will be looking to the software provider for innovations.
Especially William Hill Online, whom Playtech have a partnership with, will be looking for a number of new games, tournaments and promotions to stay competitive in a market that is constantly evolving.
