Chef Gambles Away Pub Earnings

A chef at a pub in Tamworth has appeared in court after stealing £2,500 from his wife’s bar. Neville Craggs apparently stole the money after an argument with his wife. Craggs then visited a casino in Birmingham and managed to wager all of the money in just one evening.

Soon after, Craggs admitted his crime to the police and was given six months to pay back the sum. However, the chef didn’t pay anything of what he owed back and has now been ordered by the court to do 240 hours community work, pay back the £2,400 owed and also cough up £400 for legal costs. Craggs also received a prison sentence, suspended for two years.
