Complaints Raised over Playtech Progressives
The chances of hitting the jackpot on a progressive slot or blackjack game or low, but Canadian player SylvieP had the shock of her life when she hit the progressive jackpot at a Playtech powered online casino.
However, SylvieP was soon made aware of the fact that if she wanted the full amount of her winnings, which totalled in at $4,188,719.98, she would have to do so over 39 years, as the Joyland (the casino where she managed to hit the jackpot) terms and conditions specify that the maximum a player can withdraw per month is $9,000.
SylvieP then allegedly agreed to have her prize chopped in half, so she would receive in total $2.3 million, plus $61,000 in VIP points, in order to make sure she'll actually receive her winnings.
Joyland's actions have raised concern amongst players, who, quite rightly, are wondering whether their progressive jackpots are all they're cracked up to be. After all, a lot can happen in 39 years and who knows where online casinos will be, let along Joyland.

that the casino withdrawal options could affect a progressive jackpot. Very interesting.
