Craps Gambling Ring Goes to Court
Richard S. Taylor, along with a few former Mohegan Sun and Foxwood casino employees, is currently in court over allegations that he led a craps gambling ring, which centred around Taylor and his "crew" making late bets with craps dealers who were in on the ring.
It's been alleged that Taylor had paid off craps dealers at Foxwood casino and the Mohegan Sun and developed a following of craps hustlers, who he'd send towards a dodgy craps table and then take a cut of their winnings outside. However, Taylor denies these allegations and also denies that he made his money (he's thought to have caused Foxwoods casino to lose $70,000) through a winning craps system.
Taylor, who was asked by the Judge to demonstrate his craps strategy in court apparently quickly hit a hot streak and revealed that the reason why he's won so much in the past is because of this supposed system. Taylor gave the following example of his system; if the shooter rolls a 4, then its likely 4, 6, 9, 10, 2, 3 or 11 will come up next. According to Taylor, craps is all about knowing the "parameters of the numbers".
However, with a strong prosecution case which relies on hard evidence such as surveillance footage, it's not yet known whether Taylor's craps system will really stand up in court. Until then though, the case continues.
