eGamingReview has revealed that England’s upcoming match against Ukraine may be shown exclusively in the UK via a bookmakers website.
Perform Group, who hold the rights for the match, are believed to be in talks with various UK bookmakers and internet services providers regarding purchasing broadcasting rights for the qualifier.
EGR revealed that Perform are eager for the match to be broadcast exclusively online, noting that the “interest generated by the England football team is always huge and” that they “are very excited at the prospect of a competitive England fixture being available on the internet only for the first time ever”.
As England have already qualified for the World Cup, eGaming Review suggested that the match is being used as a test by Perform, and others, to see what “kind of revenue” football shown exclusively online can generate.
