Harrah’s Hires Ex-Partygaming boss for Casino
Harrah’s casino, whose first attempt at cracking the online casino market (arguably) failed, have revealed that they have hired ex-Partygaming boss Mitch Garber, although they have not revealed what role he’ll be taking in the gaming company.
While Harrah’s have denied that he’ll be running an online version of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), they have left gamers speculating as to what exactly Garber will be doing. Harrah’s hiring of Garber has been seen by some as a move towards the online casino market, with the belief that the US will soon legalise online gambling, however, such claims are relatively unfounded. It is perhaps more likely that Harrah’s, who are allegedly struggling with debt, have taken Gerber on board in order to help revitalise the casino.
Harrah’s have yet to issue a full press release about Garber’s hiring, but it’s likely they’ll have to cave to pressure soon and reveal what exactly Garber will be doing. Until then though, your guess is as good as the rest of the gaming world's.
