Harrah’s Hires Disney Executive
Harrah’s has hired former Disney executive Peter Murphy to fill the “newly created position of president of strategy and development”. In a move that echoes Harrah’s earlier employment of Mitch Garber, little is known about Murphy’s new role.
Gary Loveman, Harrah’s chief executive, told Associated Press that the former Disney employee’s new role with the casino operator “will include evaluating possible acquisitions, international and domestic development, and expanding relationships with other industries.” As always, we’ll keep you updated with regards to Murphy’s new role and effect on the industry.
