Intercasino Software Supplier Sells Marvel Slots
The Incredible Hulk
Cryptologic, the Irish based software suppliers to Intercasino, has announced a deal with Isle of Man licensed gaming software company NYX Interactive that permits the sharing of Marvel themed online slots.
The agreement means that titles from Cryptologic’s popular Marvel slots series, which features Marvel characters such as The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman and the Fantastic Four, will be available for NYX to add to their Rapid Platform and to supply to online casinos at their will. Chief executive officer for NYX Interactive, David Flynn spoke of his delight at the deal and added that NYX’s mission was to supply players “with as wide a choice of gaming content as possible”.
This deal comes soon after a settlement between Marvel and Cryptologic after a disagreement as to whether Cryptologic had exclusive rights to all Marvel games and branded content. The settlement determined that Cryptologic didn’t have exclusive rights to Marvel games and content, but in order to reach this result, Marvel had to pay a considerable amount to Cryptologic. Also part of the deal was a new contract that extended the existing deal to 2014.
This latest move shows Cryptologic’s continuing desire to control the delivery of Marvel branded slots, but with the upcoming release of The Avengers slot, they may well have their work cut out.
