Mohegan Sun Casino
The Mohegan Sun Casino in Pennsylvania is hoping to hire 500 new members of staff, with an estimated 300 positions available for table game attendants. The casino, which currently employees over 1,000 staff members is eager to offer customers more table games, including blackjack craps. In an effort to fill the vacant positions, the Mohegan Sun is offering its own “dealer school”, which will begin in February.
Potential employees can enrol at the school by visiting MoheganSunPocono.com, but competition is fierce, with hundreds of candidates signing up in an effort to gain one of the coveted training school seats. The Mohegan’s chief executive, Bobby Soper, hinted to TimesLeader.com that if applicants make it through the training, “it’s very likely” that they’ll be hired.
