Police Raid Gambling Den in Atlanta

After a year long investigation, police have raided and closed an illegal gambling venue in Atlanta. The den, which was located in Atlanta’s West End community, is believed to have housed over 21 casino game machines (such as slots and video poker), as well as casino chips and gaming tables.

Police arrested the owner of the establishment on charges relating to illegal commercial gambling. At least 15 other people were also arrested on charges such as “gathering with the intent to gamble”. Atlanta Police have warned other gambling venues operating in the area that the raid of this venue is “not where this is going to stop” and they will continue to investigate other suspected gambling establishments.
