Treat your Pets to a Stay in a Las Vegas Casino
Pampered Pooch
In an effort to appeal to a broader clientele, the Rio, Imperial Palace and Caesars Palace are allowing dogs to stay in their hotel rooms. Previously, only the Four Seasons resort allowed canines to stay at their hotel, but following demand from visitors who wished to travel with their pets, Harrah’s Entertainment (the company which owns the aforementioned casinos), has allocated ‘pet-friendly’ rooms in its resorts, as part of the PetStay Las Vegas trial program.
There’s an extra charge of $20 a night for dogs to stay at the Rio and Imperial Palace and an extra $25 on top of normal room rates at Caesars Palace. However, for this extra charge, pets will have access to room extras such as food, water bowls, mats and even doggie treats. At the moment, only dogs less than 50 pounds are allowed to stay at the resorts, although Harrah’s have made clear that all kinds of breeds are welcome.
Mary Ann Dennis, of Harrah’s Entertainment, has commented that the trial program has “been a great success”, proposing that she is “really surprised at how quickly the word got out”.
