This fact has been highlighted yet again as founder and joint owner of the company Denise Coates has been named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's New Years Honours list. The honour was given to her not only because of her services to the business world with bet365 but also to the community and the help that bet365 provides in the Stoke area where the company is based.
Having grown exponentially in the last decade, bet365 now employ more than 1,500 people who are mostly from the local area. This makes them the regions biggest private employer.
As it goes, not only has this been a good thing for the local area but its obviously paid dividends for the company itself as bet365 are well known for maintaining high standards across the company – regardless of which product or service you're trying to use.
But Coates isn't the only gambling industry professional with some letters after her name. Chairman of the UK Gambling Commission Philip Graf also received a CBE back in 2003, this time in the Queen’s birthday honours list.
